Ed Januska

Ed Januska, Stone Carver

Ed Januska creates original, hand-carved stone sculptures inspired by early American folk art. Ed has been carving stone since 1991. He works with found stone, most often barn sandstone, from a variety of sources. After working for years as an antique dealer and tool & die maker, Ed had a request from his wife, Lorie. She wanted a stone trough. Ed decided to try stone carving and carved his first piece. His troughs quickly gained a loyal following and he started carving bee skeps, hitching posts, spirit stones and animals. His commissions have come from collectors, historical societies and dealers. His work is now in many private collections across the United States. He is based in Litchfield, Ohio.
